PRIME MINISTER HAS STRONGER PLANS FOR THE COSTS OF LIVING

Posted July 25, 2010

The Prime Minister won the debate because she was clear and strong and had more positive plans to take the country forward.

Tony Abbott looked uncomfortable and just played his usual negative politics.

The PM did a better job fleshing out her policies: strengthening the economy; getting the Budget to surplus by 2013; investing in renewable energy like solar; giving every Australian kid a first class education; and training more doctors and nurses.

In the key exchange of the debate, Mr Abbott couldn’t even front up and explain why at a time like this he would cut essential health and education services and bring back the worst aspects of WorkChoices.

Most of all he failed to explain to Australians why he wants to put pressure on the costs of living by increasing tax on companies like Coles and Woolies.

Tony Abbott’s Coles and Woolies tax and the pressure it will put on the price of every day groceries will dog Mr Abbott for the rest of this campaign.
